A Small Dream

I am so happy!! We had a small dream become a reality this past weekend. I have wanted a herb garden for ages. We worked this past weekend with a young builder friend and made my dream come true! I love cooking with fresh herbs, but I tried to raise them in the veggie garden (also a flop) but the chickens ate EVERYTHING! Now, we are putting it off the other side of the house where the chickens can't get to them!! Now to keep the bunnies and birds out!! This is our before pic...




Within a few hours, we made heaps of progress, I want the herbs to be reachable from the decks and we are working toward that! I want them on both sides of the steps and bottom deck...  We decided the one side is good for now and I don't want to feel cramped in on the steps. I love the finished product. I will move my rhubarb and get the herbs in this week!!! 
 



Our two day project, DONE in one day! I love it when that happens! Oh! And I need to get more dirt! Can't wait for those fresh herbs and my rhubarb...maybe even some strawberries, things that don't take much space to grow.



Now back to designing, cutting and sewing! I will be leaving soon and WANT to get a bit more done as I won't be sewing for a week!

    Looks great. Jealous. I have a brown thumb and cannot grow anything. Have fun. You deserve to have your dreams come true.

      We ALL deserve to have our dreams come true...usually I do have a brown thumb, but I do herbs pretty good!

    Wow, looks fantastic. I love gardening. My favourite is cherry tomatoes. Yum. I also have a small herb garden and love that too. Each morning I would go out and snip off some fresh chives and add to my omelet 😁

      That's why I wanted my herb garden... I love to try new recipes and this is going to make it way more fun!

Mystery Quilts Anonymous With all the feedback from yesterday's blog, I just wanted to give you a bit more info to ponder and think on. Firstly, I need to be honest, since our beginning I have given this group and it's members 1,000 percent of myself and my designs. I make NO money off the patterns and time spent. I want to keep the patterns free. I love that so many can make them and love them. I feel we have so much talent out there and I love tapping into that talent and providing patterns you love. Mystery Quilts Anonymous   I have been in contact with a number of fabric manufacturers and I wanted your opinion on something... I am wondering if you think I should offer kits for our mysteries. If I offered something like that, would you purchase the kit or would you order your own fabrics? I would organise the kit with the manufacturer and you would order direct from them (at least, that's what I am working toward right now). I have heaps of ideas in my head...offering the kits in more than one colourway, including binding yardage, even using fat quarter (or other pre-cuts) packs for scrappy looks....    If you already have a stash like mine, you may not want to order for a specific quilt. But, I would love to make it available for you. If you can think of any other way I can make this easier for you, please please please let me know. New Beginnings, Fun Times...

I am so happy to introduce you to our own blog. This is where all new things will come out and we can have a central place to always go back to. I will keep our "history" here and I can't wait to fill the pages with our fun and our story as we go!
