Here we are sitting at over 5,100 members! When I started this group on 4 July 2018, I never imagined we would ever grow this fast or this big. I sat here in my dream world thinking wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have 100 members and sew all day when we can??? I began pinching myself at 500 members, I couldn't believe a nobody from New Zealand (formerly from Ohio) could ever accomplish what WE have in the last 17 months. Let's keep going, growing, sewing, and encouraging each other for many more years!

This is the first pic I used on the blog with never a thought that we would grow so fast and stay so loving and fun! I enjoy every minute with you and this truly has become my passion, my happy place, and my love. I honestly love each of you and thank you for being my "family". We are truly Kindred Spirits. Our 5K quilt is well underway, but I thought I would have a wee bit more time to finish it up. OH WELL!! We will soon be working on this amazing quilt with a lot of love and joy behind it.

CONGRATULATIONS US! WE have become a loving fun group to be a part of. I am so thankful for your trust, encouragement, love, help, friendship, and care through our journey together. I wouldn't want to be any place else than with all of you!

    You are the best, I would not be where I am today without you and this wonderful group of quilters.
    I have learned so much from everyone and I gained a new Friend name Jack the ripper.
    I love seeing all the beautiful quilts.
    I'm poorer than I've ever thought I would be.Hahaha

    But I'm Richer with the new knowledge that I have learned, and I gained a whole New Family in my quilting world.

Mystery Quilts Anonymous   I have been in contact with a number of fabric manufacturers and I wanted your opinion on something... I am wondering if you think I should offer kits for our mysteries. If I offered something like that, would you purchase the kit or would you order your own fabrics? I would organise the kit with the manufacturer and you would order direct from them (at least, that's what I am working toward right now). I have heaps of ideas in my head...offering the kits in more than one colourway, including binding yardage, even using fat quarter (or other pre-cuts) packs for scrappy looks....    If you already have a stash like mine, you may not want to order for a specific quilt. But, I would love to make it available for you. If you can think of any other way I can make this easier for you, please please please let me know. I have a stash that will outlive me, so I am sharing mine with my granddaughters (and those grandsons that want to sew)...

Scraps...

  Mystery Quilts Anonymous     I am very interested in how you store your scraps...if you use them and the sizes you cut your larger scraps down to. I keep a bin of crumbs, a bin of anything under a fat quarter, plastic shoe boxes with my 2-1/2" strips and squares by colour, and that doesn't include the fabrics between a quarter yard and one yard.  I am very keen to hear what you do. I need help organising this large selection of scraps! I make every quilt that I put on our Facebook page and others as well....I have SO MANY SCRAPS! Show me pics PLEASE!  I need help!! Deb

Mystery Quilts Anonymous With all the feedback from yesterday's blog, I just wanted to give you a bit more info to ponder and think on. Firstly, I need to be honest, since our beginning I have given this group and it's members 1,000 percent of myself and my designs. I make NO money off the patterns and time spent. I want to keep the patterns free. I love that so many can make them and love them. I feel we have so much talent out there and I love tapping into that talent and providing patterns you love. I have been trying to think of other ways to make a little money for my "work". SO, I am thinking I will start a "real" blog and use the advertising as a source of income so the patterns and our facebook page remain free. If you have thoughts concerning any or all of this, PLEASE make contact. I have already had one quilt shop owner contact to offer a discount to our members...this is a giant step in the direction I would like to go. We are in ...
