Here we are at the end of 2019 and I am so excited to design and share with you in 2020. We have accomplished so much this past year and I am aiming to keep us very busy next year as well. We have our RBR (Row By Row) to carry on with, I have some more small blocks for you. We will be starting a year long BOM (Block of the Month) as well as work on our mysteries along the way.

Who would have thought 17 months ago we would be nearly 5,000 strong now. We began with me and a few who followed from QCA and a couple other groups, I was SO ECSTATIC when we hit 50! I am just a normal little lady in New Zealand who loves to design and share with others! We have an amazing group and it has become my obsession, my very happy place to be!

In 2020, I will be publishing a book with patterns in it. I will share a few of our favourites and add some that will be exclusive to the book. My goal is 10 patterns. I have been busy with designing and writing for it, AND keeping us busy on our Facebook page, Mystery Quilts Anonymous. I am constantly using the coloured pencils and graph paper to figure out the easiest way for us to accomplish a complicated unit. Keep those pics and ideas coming. You are my inspiration. Can't wait to share "Dublin Dreams" from the floor tiles in Ireland!! I was given a scarf for Christmas last year, all I see is a beautiful quilt pattern!!

My goals for 2020 include keeping up with this blog, it will share our happenings and a bit of family stuff. It is so nice to get to know you on a personal level as well. I love when you message me to just chat! I know we will all be busy for December, so please don't let me annoy you! Share what you want, sew what you want, and remember our only "rule" is to treat others with respect and kindness. We have an amazing group. I enjoy spending time with you!

    Love this!!! I love all your quilt patterns!! Keep up the good work. I too have been married for over 36 years - 4 kids - 6 grands. I love how easy your patterns are to follow. You have taught me new things that I absolutely love. Keep up the good work. Congrats on the book!!!

    This all sounds great to me, Debi. I want to (again) thank you....not just for the quilt designs but also for the kind amd caring way in which you administer this site.

    I am THRILLED that you have a book coming out!!! I know that you enjoy the design process but it seems only right that you get reimbursed for all of the hard work that you do.

Mystery Quilts Anonymous With all the feedback from yesterday's blog, I just wanted to give you a bit more info to ponder and think on. Firstly, I need to be honest, since our beginning I have given this group and it's members 1,000 percent of myself and my designs. I make NO money off the patterns and time spent. I want to keep the patterns free. I love that so many can make them and love them. I feel we have so much talent out there and I love tapping into that talent and providing patterns you love. I have been trying to think of other ways to make a little money for my "work". SO, I am thinking I will start a "real" blog and use the advertising as a source of income so the patterns and our facebook page remain free. Scraps...

  Mystery Quilts Anonymous     I am very interested in how you store your scraps...if you use them and the sizes you cut your larger scraps down to. I keep a bin of crumbs, a bin of anything under a fat quarter, plastic shoe boxes with my 2-1/2" strips and squares by colour, and that doesn't include the fabrics between a quarter yard and one yard.  I am very keen to hear what you do. I need help organising this large selection of scraps! I make every quilt that I put on our Facebook page and others as well....I have SO MANY SCRAPS! Show me pics PLEASE!  I need help!! Deb
