It's New Year's Eve!!! I hope you're ready to sew with me tomorrow! You should have your fabric chosen and maybe even some cutting finished, but if you don't, that's ok! You can still join in the fun! Check out the files on our Facebook page to find the "Picture Perfect" files and you will find our New Year's Day Quilt Along! I so hope you join me in the fun. I plan to go live for a bit and actually sew right beside you. I CANNOT WAIT!
 
I took a poll on our page and asked you all to choose my fabrics and that's what I would sew with. Your choice is pictured here. These didn't win by a landslide, choices 1 and 2 were pretty close! These are not my favourite, so I am trusting all of you to steer me out of my comfort zone!! The pic on our FB page made the lavender look very pink, but it truly is lavender. Can't wait to see your choices!! This is a very quick and easy project that can be gifted or used for yourself!! Two size options...with or without the border!

    thanks, I'm ready. I'm using white as my light for the border but a print for the inside...didn't get to the fabric store. I'm excited to start tomorrow though.

Mystery Quilts Anonymous With all the feedback from yesterday's blog, I just wanted to give you a bit more info to ponder and think on. Firstly, I need to be honest, since our beginning I have given this group and it's members 1,000 percent of myself and my designs. I make NO money off the patterns and time spent. I want to keep the patterns free. I love that so many can make them and love them. I feel we have so much talent out there and I love tapping into that talent and providing patterns you love. I have been trying to think of other ways to make a little money for my "work". SO, I am thinking I will start a "real" blog and use the advertising as a source of income so the patterns and our facebook page remain free. Mystery Quilts Anonymous   I have been in contact with a number of fabric manufacturers and I wanted your opinion on something... I am wondering if you think I should offer kits for our mysteries. If I offered something like that, would you purchase the kit or would you order your own fabrics? I would organise the kit with the manufacturer and you would order direct from them (at least, that's what I am working toward right now). I have heaps of ideas in my head...offering the kits in more than one colourway, including binding yardage, even using fat quarter (or other pre-cuts) packs for scrappy looks....    If you already have a stash like mine, you may not want to order for a specific quilt. But, I would love to make it available for you. If you can think of any other way I can make this easier for you, please please please let me know. I have a stash that will outlive me, so I am sharing mine with my granddaughters (and those grandsons that want to sew) and we us

New Beginnings, Fun Times...

I am so happy to introduce you to our own blog. This is where all new things will come out and we can have a central place to always go back to. I will keep our "history" here and I can't wait to fill the pages with our fun and our story as we go!
