I took a wee bit of wall space between a window and a closet in my sewing room to put up some pegboard. This helps me to organise my rotary cutters, rulers, and other tools. I can now see all my rulers, this keeps me inspired to try new things. I love playing with colour and shapes to make something different. I need to practice with my pineapple tools before I share with you. Haven't mastered those yet!  I use all other rulers on my "wall". 

 
This wall was not very expensive and has made my cutting so much easier and faster! I have everything hanging at my finger tips. I love the ease of it all. I love being able to change it up with a new tool or cutter. Plus my wee little warning sign at the bottom.... I love my teeny weenies. Fur babies make sewing fun, especially when they are sitting on your foot that is on the foot pedal! What's your favourite rotary cutting tool?





I am excited as we head into 2020 together. I am working toward staying very busy and sewing with you all year. We have so much to accomplish together. I am working hard to make my space very inviting and "video"worthy. I will be making a lot more YouTube tutorials for us and our quilts will be super easy to finish up!

This weekend I will be away with the ladies of my church. We plan two days away once a year for our annual retreat. I am really looking forward to our time together. Then, next year to the quilt retreats I have planned for you. I love spending time with friends. I may not have internet at the ready, but I will do my best to keep up with you!

Mystery Quilts Anonymous With all the feedback from yesterday's blog, I just wanted to give you a bit more info to ponder and think on. Firstly, I need to be honest, since our beginning I have given this group and it's members 1,000 percent of myself and my designs. I make NO money off the patterns and time spent. I want to keep the patterns free. I love that so many can make them and love them. I feel we have so much talent out there and I love tapping into that talent and providing patterns you love. Kindred Spirits

  Mystery Quilts Anonymous   I wanted to add the poem to our blog. I love this poem and it is how I feel when I am "working" with you. I love sewing beside you and with you in this journey. There is no one I would rather be sewing with than ALL of YOU! I wanted this poem here so we can always come back and read it. I have made some amazing friends along the way. As we start Kindred Spirits today, our celebration quilt for achieving 5,000 members, I am amazed at our one year (plus a bit) history. I can't wait to move forward and spend the next several years sewing beside you. Choosing Fabrics, Not Everyone’s Favourite!

Mystery Quilts Anonymous Sometimes my favourite part, sometimes a chore...picking fabrics and colours can be fun and rewarding. I have a pretty good sized stash, but do we ever really have that PERFECT match that we want unless we’ve bought the entire line??  I know there are those who won’t use one manufacturer with a different manufacturer in the same quilt, I truly don’t have that option. Fabric where I live is quite expensive ($35+ per metre) so I have to mix manufacturers all the time. Although, I will only use 100% cotton in my quilts. I will also use flannel and shirting, as long as it’s 100% cotton. I don’t like to mix flannel and quilting cotton as they shrink at different rates.   Here are two examples of a couple of quilts I have on the drawing board.
